DekaMarkt wins the SmartSpotter Promo Compliance award

DekaMarkt has been awarded the SmartSpotter Promo Compliance Award 2024. With an impressive compliance rate of 89%, DekaMarkt exceeds expectations. Compared to other retailers, DekaMarkt performs remarkably well, with a score that is no less than 19% higher than the national average. It is the 8th year in a row that SmartSpotter has awarded this prestigious title. DekaMarkt also won this prize in 2021.

SmartSpotter measures throughout the year whether promotional communications and the associated products from brochure promotions have been placed in the store as agreed. These measurements based on mobile crowdsourcing show that the overall promo compliance is 70%. This means that 30% of the promotions are not present on the shop floor as agreed. In the Netherlands, promo compliance figures have increased compared to last year.

National promo compliance scores:

• Overall promo compliance 2024: 70% (this is 5% higher than in 2023)

• Promotional communication present in 2024: 73% (this is 5% higher than in 2023)

• 2nd placement available in 2024: 63% (this is 1% higher than in 2023).

This means that suppliers and retailers are fulfilling agreements more often compared to the previous year. Failure to comply with the agreements regarding promotions can lead to loss of turnover on both sides.

To determine a winner for the Promo Compliance Award, SmartSpotter carried out thousands of measurements every month this year. DekaMarkt is the best retailer in terms of promo compliance with a score of 89%, closely followed by Dirk with 86% and Hoogvliet with 78%.
